Featured Business Question and Answers:
What three words would describe your business best?Global, Expatriate, Awareness

What do you love about the business? I love that I can work from a global perspective and I am not limited to one place. I also enjoy using my own wandering experiences to help others with a move to a new country or state.

What don’t you like? The administration side of business

What is your grandest vision for the business? I hope to travel within Australia, and globally, presenting workshops aimed at individuals and international companies. Individuals and international companies often suffer emotionally and financially when a move overseas or to a new state is unsuccessful, I would like to use my experience and knowledge to help prevent this from happening.

Is there any other business you would like to be in if you could? I am fortunate enough to have two lines of business, The happy Migrant & Expat as mentioned above which cater to my more practical side, and Ivy Primrose which caters to my creative side. Through Ivy primrose I run fun and light-hearted Creative Journey workshops which enable me to let my artistic nature emerge. I feel very fortunate to have two avenues that help keep me balanced.

What one thing has added to your success in business? I would say that my 29 years of experience as an expatriate and wandering migrant has added to my success. I have been an expatriate teenager, an expatriate wife & mother, and an expatriate divorcee trying to find her feet. This valuable life experience has enabled me to relate to many people and to keep an open mind.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out? Follow your passions, stick to your values and have fun.

Who do you admire in the business world? Those who follow their passions and enjoy their journey

What would you love your customers to know about your business? Within my fields one mould does not fit all therefore each workshop or counselling session for The happy Migrant or for Ivy Primrose is designed to suit the needs of the individual. I am always open to new ideas and working with others on projects.
