Featured Business Question and Answers: |
| What three words describe your business best?Global. Women. Motivational |
| |
| What do you love about the business?
I love the positive feedback that I receive from women all around the world, on a daily basis. I also get a real kick out of interviewing successful and inspiring women.
|
|
|
| |
| What don't you like?
Waking up at weird hours to talk to clients on different time zones.
|
| |
| What is your grandest vision for the business?
To become one of the biggest players in our online, expatriate niche. |
| |
| Is there any other business you would like to be in if you could?
Toy-development. I have always wanted to go to the New York Toy Fair and see the world’s coolest toys before they even hit store shelves. I showed up once and begged to be let in, but they refused to let me in without any official toy industry credentials.
|
| |
| What one thing has added to your success in business?
Commitment to personalizing the service to clients as much as possible. For example, when I stopped sending the standard advertising rates card and started responding to each advertising enquiry on a personalized basis, with individualised recommendations, the advertising revenue skyrocketed. |
| |
| What advice would you give to someone just starting out? Believe wholeheartedly in what you are doing. There is no way I could have made it to where I am today and made the sacrifices that I have made if I was not totally committed (to helping women, of all nationalities, living overseas).
|
| |
| Who do you admire in the business world?
Tyra Banks and Oprah Winfrey |
|
|
| What would you love people to know about your business? That we have loads of fabulous reading on our site (eg. inspirational interviews, articles, more than 200 readers’ stories and nearly 800 blogs) – that should keep busy even those who have never owned a passport or lived overseas! |
