Featured Business Question and Answers:
What three words would describe your business best?Boutique, Friendly & Personal!

What do you love about the business? Assisting women, not only with their health & fitness goals, but their overall confidence, posture and outlook on life.

What don't you like? Hearing stories of women who don’t continue training, due to trainers that just push too hard – it takes a while for most people to adjust to strength training, both physically and emotionally.

What is your grandest vision for the business? To be at a stage where I have a great client base who empower each other to live a healthy life. I would then like to offer social events, such as bushwalks, kayaking trips etc which clients can take part in and bring their partners/friends along to encourage outside support for their new lifestyle.

Is there any other business you would like to be in if you could? I have one other business idea along the same lines – still encouraging a fit and healthy lifestyle, however, more on a group basis and really incorporating fun with fitness – but that is a little further down the track.

What one thing has added to your success in business? The understanding that comes from being a mother, a sister & a good friend. Life is so busy these days, I have found many women are so busy looking after everyone else’s needs that they really enjoy having someone look after them for a change! Your body is there for life and every woman deserves to prioritise themself – not only for their sake, but for their family’s as well, after all, you are the most important role model in your children’s life & we all want our children to look after their health and wellbeing, so why shouldn’t we?

What advice would you give to someone just starting out? Be patient. It takes a while to build up clientele; however, if you love what you are doing & you listen to what people want, you will keep your clients for the long haul.

Who do you admire in the business world? Richard Branson in the big world of business. He has done amazing things and still seems to keep the focus on service and affordability. Generally, I admire anyone who has the insight & motivation to start a business. It is not an easy ride in the beginning and there are no guarantees, but the rewards can be tenfold.

What would you love your customers to know about your business? That I do deal primarily with women and I make every effort to keep the session in line with their needs and to build up strength and fitness levels slowly. When I have my Open Day in October, I will look at starting small group classes based on the times/days that suit most people.
